Joann Mills (Sarah Michelle Gellar) has spent most of her adult life avoiding the state of Texas. However, her latest paralyzing nightmare makes her realize that she has to confront her old fears. Ever since Joanna can remember she has been plagued by these unsettling thoughts about her childhood. She uses her current business trip as her reason to venture back to Texas. While on the trip, she has another attack and sees a red bar in the vision. She figures this is the key to explaining her strange dreams. Matching the same red bar in some business clippings she ends up in a small town known as LaSalle, Texas. But her arrival in town digs up something more terrifying for Joanna than just answers to her nightmares.
