Blair who has recently come to power after winning the election and putting Labour in government and the queen having to react after the death of Princess Diana. The story portrays a tragedy for the Royal family with the princes losing their mother and the public demanding an overt display of mourning for a princess who in royal eyes was no longer part of the royal family. The decision of the queen is to accept Diana’s death and acknowledge it publicly or ignore it with the possible abolition of the monarchy.
