Half Light is about Rachel Carson (Demi Moore) and her attempts to cope with the death of her son. Her son died because he went to play in the pond by their house and drowned, and Rachel was working (writing a book) and cooking dinner instead of playing with her son. Rachel moves to a village in Scotland to deal with the stress of her son's death and to finish her book. While there, she falls in love with Angus McCulloch (Hans Matheson). The two spend time on the beach and at the lighthouse, talking and become very close. Things begin to get strange for Rachel, however, as she starts having wierd feelings and visions. She eventually learns that Angus killed his former wife in the lighthouse and that he is actually a ghost as well.
