1985 Apache
Royal Pop-Up
Camper Trailer,
Rare Off Grid!
|
Vehicle
Description
|
|
This is
a
fantastic
opportunity
to
acquire
one of
the last
year
manufactured
and
rarest
of the
APACHE
HARD
SIDE POP
UPs.
This
model is
the
largest
and most
luxuriest
ever
designed
by
Apache.
It is
the ONLY
one that
was ever
completely
SELF
CONTAINED.
This rare
model can
run
completely
off
grid,
including
hot
water!
It has a
holding
tank, 12
Volt,
Propane
and also
110 volt
systems.
At this
point
the 12
volt
system
is
working
perfectly
and
charging
the deep
charge
marine
battery.
I will
be
testing
the
other
systems
this
week. I
bought
the
trailer
5 years
ago and
never
had time
to use
it. It
appears
the
original
owner
didn't
use it
much
either.
The
water
tank has
no sign
of use
and the
water
pump is
in like
new
condition,
the
shower
was
never
used and
still
has the
original
shower
curtain
and also
the
original
tag
still on
the
fiberglass
shower
pan! It
also
appears
the self
contained
septic
system
was
rarely
or maybe
never
used!
Almost
everything
in the
camper
is still
there,
curtains
and all,
even the
hide
away
clothes
hamper.
It also
includes
the
original
outside
heavy
duty
vinyl
canopy
and
poles and
I will
be
adding
photos
of that
installed
on the
camper to
the
auction
as well.
The
condition
is very
good to
excellent,
but does
have
some
chewed
up
corners,
scrapes
and
scuffs
typical
with age
and
light
use.
There is
one
creased
corner
that has
been
repaired
( as
shown)
and
needs a
couple
of light
lens
covers
and some
other
minor
parts.
But all
in all
ready to
take off
and go
camping
in as
is. All
the
hinges
are
good, no
major
cracks
or
serious
damage
the the
plastic
or
windows,
all
screens
intact. Could
use new
mattress
covers.
The
crank
system
works
fine and
I have
raised
and
lowered
it at
least a
half a
dozen
times in
the last
few
months
with no
trouble.
I also
opened
and
relubricated
the
crank gears
and
replaced
the worn
pins.
The
bearings
were
repacked
and
the electronic
brakes
inspected
before I
moved it
from
Albuquerque
to it
current
location near
Asheville,
North
Carolina.
It
sleeps
5,
having
two
double
beds and
one
large
twin that
the
table
and
benches
convert
into. Includes
a new
universal
joint
crank,
extra
new tire
besides
the
three
that are
already
on it a
12v or
110
current
Color TV
and a
microwave.
You will
have to
provide
your own
propane
tanks.
It holds
two, but
is set
up to
use one
at a
time.
this is
a very
rare
APACHE
HARD
SIDE,
one you
will
probably
never
see in
this
condition
up for
sale
anywhere!
It's not
perfect,
but
close
and with
a little
tweaking
here and
there
should
provide
years of
service
and fun.
Sales
Manual
-
this is
a link
to all
the
specs
for this
camper.
All
systems
are
performing
perfectly.
The 6
gallon
on
demand
water
heater
fires
right
up, the
3 burner
stove
all
working,
the 3
way
fridge
is
making
hard ice
in the
freezer
compartment,
the 12v
system
is all
working
perfectly,
all
pumps,
fans and
lights
working,
the
power
center
is
charging
the
battery,
with the
exception
of the
110v
system
is not
functioning,
which
according
to the
manual
is an
easy
fix,
most
likely a
loose
connection
in the
power
box.
Also
included
is the
service
manual
and
parts
manual.
The axle
weight
is 1724
lbs and
the
gross
vehicle
weight
is 2400
lbs. It
is
16'.5"
long and
76" wide |
